Watching Sabine Lisicki
I am often asked in interviews, if I still closely follow all the tennis events on TV or in person.
Unfortunetely my answer is always that I rarely find the time and usually just follow reports in the newspapers.
Naturally I am very pleased to see positive things about German women’s tennis, and some of the news about Sabine Lisicki is very exciting in that respect. When I learned that Sabine Lisicki made into the finals of the WTA tournament in Charleston, South Carolina against Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark, I made it a point to make the time to watch the game. It was great to watch Sabine’s confidence on the court and she played an exciting game with some really spectacular rallies.
When she needed several match balls to win the game I am certain a lot of people had their fingers crossed for her, just like I did.
After the deciding Matchpoint , it was great so see her overwhelming joy and happiness. She finally won tournament with 6:2, 6:4. Her clear head and precise playing technique had given her the deserved victory in that match. It’s nice to see when a young German player with a strong will and a willingness to work hard to wins. I have personally met Sabine Lisicki briefly when came to Las Vegas earlier this year to the Adidas – Team training camp. Already back then I noticed her exceptional dedication and targeted focus. I’m now eager to follow her fas she further develops in her career.

Dear Steffi,
This made my day. I have just decided, after watching Wimbledon, that I’m going to follow Sabine Lasicki’s progress. Knowing she impressed you, too, must mean I wasn’t a bad judge.
Hoping to see you and Andre on the tennis courts soon.
Dear Stefanie
Thank you for keeping us up to date with all your news!!! Sabine Lasicki looks like a promising player and I will look out for her at the next big tournament.
Have a fabulous day and keep well:)

Hi Steffi ,
If you say she is dedicated , she is bound to be. The media is heralding her as the new Steffi Graf.
That is reason enough to go back to watching Tennis . You retired , I moved to college and life has ever since been a roller coaster ride. And surely after a decade when I start watching all over again , gonna miss you big time .
Tc and keep blogging!

Great to see you think she has a good future.
hi steffi,
i m 44 , mean v were in same era when we were young , in kl , Malysia v cannot live depending on sports then ,now better . i was not allowed to take part in any games by my father yet i excell in games like football, babminton , long distance running n famous at school then. i was fan of german n holland football n really dont know much about tennis until u emerge beating navratilova . a young german girl later boris becker .
since then i follow tennis alot until both of u retired .
i follow alot include , ur dads case , loss of form n losing streak to sabatini ,monica sales stabing . were the spoilers of unimaginable career
I believe u were not 100% or at comfort when u play seles after her comback . as a fan i hoped u can beat courts 24 slams but u retired due to injuries i think, i thought u may make a comeback to finish the unfinished job , well we the world saw u n agassi play n we believe u still can do it. 45 is very young nowadays mean u can try 4-5years more.
anyway i also admire our new star sabine n i dont miss her game , while
we wish her our very best i think she has to mature fast in her game if wants to b a great like u. while she s young ,has good build n skills she lacks staying focus , shoulder injury n hope her ankel s ok
may b too much of expectation on her , cant help it she is nearest to u after
u in our eyes so far
imagine its like a new star has to born to match u when u 1st won a slam as she s only 20 now
