The first few months in the new Foundation building

Children for Tomorrow’s new ambulance center and foundation headquarters opened just this past April on the premises of the university medical center Eppendorf in Hamburg and we are already seeing some very positive results. Mr. Rami Gaber, Assistant Medical Director of the refugee ambulance, has treated 34 children and young adults these past few months, and works with about 30 patients on a regular basis. The majority of the patients come from Afghanistan, but there are also young people from Guinea, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Egypt, Somalia and the Balkans, just some of the countries where children have often been traumatized by war and persecution.
The most common condition is post-traumatic stress disorder, followed by severe depression and various social behavior disorders, which all require different therapeutic treatments.
Together with our doctors and therapists, everyone associated with the Foundation is very enthusiastic about our additional capacity to support the treatment of more refugee children through the new foundation building. We also look forward to many new opportunities and projects, including our “mobile consultation” initiative, which will allow our doctors to go to refugee camps and schools and reach children who are not likely to find their own way to our center. In the near future, we will also be extending our methodology from its focus on conversational therapy to other proven nonverbal therapy methods: In September we will start with art therapy and by the end of the year we will be adding music and dance programs.

Thats really awesome! Keep up the great work Steffi- To bring a smile on even one child’s face is a goal I remind of myself everyday and has made it my mission ever since I read your story 15-18 years back as a child -
when you had talked about how a 2 year old child suffered because of war and how when you saw it-changed your life.
Reading your interview changed mine too and I feel so happy to see that how you have improved the lives of so many children-You are a true inspiration and may you achieve all your goals! Go Steffi!
Everyone has ideas, very few put the effort to implement them esp. when it comes to helping others.
As usual, fabulous work.

Hello Bellissima Stefanie,
I fully appreciate and support the amazing work that you continue to do for your wonderful foundation and i wish those in power ie, world governments would take a leaf out of your book and do the same for the children who are suffering from a similar situation / fate in their own countries and it goes un – noticed due to greed and it makes me very sad.
I just hope that you continue the expansion of your charity work to the children in the other parts of the world who are being neglected and not having their voice heard.
Im proud to see you do alot for the good of humanity.
God Bless

Hi Steffi,
Agree with you on Venus, her health comes first and foremost. Generally, Sjogren’s is mild when compared to most auto-immune diseases but when you are competing in an individual sport like tennis, it might be tough to compete day in and day out at a high level. All the best wishes to Venus.
Dear Stefanie,
I am so happy to hear about the new foundation building already enabling many people from different countries to get help.
There are so many tragedies in our world and I have such a great admiration and respect for the people who, around the world,
are putting their heart into helping others.
My heartfelt best wishes to you and everyone who is involved in your Children for Tomorrow Foundation .
Dear Stefanie,
congratulations on the new foundation building for Children for Tomorrow. It’s wonderful that the children will receive the help they need to overcome the trauma they have endured. It is tremendous. You are a very kind person. I first became a fan of yours in 1989 and it was fantastic to meet you in 1999. You inspired me to play tennis since 1989 which I still enjoy today. Thanks so much Stefanie.
God Bless You
Best wishes
Nathan
