Target group: Children and families in Gjakova.

Services: Child psychiatric treatment and counseling Training of local mental health professionals, psychoeducative activities

Aims: In Southeast Europe especially children suffer from manifold consequences of war. They often miss the father or siblings, have mothers not capable of meeting their for holding and protection or develop unjustified feelings of guilt for the death of relatives. Due to the difficulty in finding missing people in Gjakova mourning is extremely difficult. The project identifies, in cooperation with schools traumatized children and provides them with treatment. In addition constructive conflict resolution models for a post war society were developed in individual and group activities.
