A New Age: Rackets for Women, Designed by Women

When HEAD first approached me to work with them on the launch of a new line of tennis rackets designed specifically for women, I knew it was an unique opportunity.

A tennis racket “just for women.” I’ve heard this before, but I have also heard that women are looking for something more from their equipment: they want the ultimate women’s racquet – one that focuses on better performance. I agreed to partner with HEAD because I knew it was my chance to help create a racquet that truly answers the needs of the female tennis player.

Through my collaboration with HEAD, its researchers, its engineers, and thousands of women across Europe, Japan and America, we all agreed that a racket made for woman would not be merely a cosmetic upgrade of an existing racket. A true woman’s racket would be designed by women, for women, and would take into consideration our body shapes, our centers of gravity, our smaller hands and our desire for lightweight power.

And if the racket looked good – even better!

HEAD’s new line of rackets is designed to meet just those needs, built with proven technology to make us more competitive on the court and with features specially geared for women – lightweight and perfect balance for more power and better maneuverability, as well as an ergonomically correct grip that fits in our hands and feels good when hitting a two-handed backhand.
